How Do I convince my parents to agree to get me tested for ADD/Adhd?
I honestly think i have add and i’ve stated my case with my parents. They were very stubborn and responded with, ” What will you do when you get a job? Will you be dependent on it then ETC.” so basically, is there any way to counter this and what are some positive effects that i can add?
If you truly have ADD/ADHD you are performing poorly in school because you literally cannot concentrate on something that doesn’t interest you. ADD/ADHD is thrown around a lot nowadays for people who just are just unfocused, but I known people with the real thing and it’s like dealing with a ten year old on a sugar high unless they’re on adderall. If you have it all you have to say to your parents is that you won’t be able hold a decent job for long and your grades are going to reflect your inability to concentrate.
